My daughter Charley has been riding with Melanie for almost 5 years now. Charley has competed throughout many Ontario eventing spots, such as Grandview, Glen Oro, Glen Arden, Ottawa, and has even competed in the States. Melanie provides a variety of opportunities to her riders. Such as dressage, schooling opportunities, teaching opportunities and more. We are so thankful for this well-rounded program.
My daughter has been doing lessons with the Hope Equestrian Team since she's been 5 years old, and she will be 10 in May. The amount of confidence that her coach helped her attain is absolutely incredible. Mel has helped her love for horses grow into her true passion and the level of unconditional support and patience and confidence she has in her riders is inspiring. She is always challenging them to make them realize how much potential they truly have and to strive to be the best they can be. My daughters confidence on and off a horse is remarkable and that's all thanks to riding with Mel at Hope Equestrian !
I began riding with Mel June of 2025. I had not ridden in lessons since 2023; going from Hunter/Jumper to Eventing is a big change; Mel made me not only feel comfortable but also helped me see my potential. She made it aware that my goals are achieveable. With the help of her, I was able to compete at my first off property show, go cross country schooling, and am now preparing for an inter-provincial competition; at Bromine HT. Something I NEVER even thought I could see let alone compete in. Mel is incredibly patient and you can tell she loves what she does. I am forever grateful I came across Hope Equestrian Team and get to grow and learn under Mels wing.
